These figures come from Google Ads accounts we've run for heat pump installers: a different sector, but the same job of getting local customers to find a business on Google and pick up the phone. Accounts are anonymised, and every figure shows where it came from and the dates it covers.
Individual results below are easy to pick for being good. An average across every account we run is harder to cherry-pick, so here it is first.
Source: Google Ads account data, one-month average, anonymised. For comparison, LocaliQ's 2026 cross-industry search average is an 8.18% conversion rate.
Source: live account data, 30 days after we took the account on. £86 is the cost per lead the account showed when we took it on. Leads are calls and form enquiries, not completed installs.
Source: live account data, August 2026. This is a separate window from the figures above.
Source: live account data, first 14 days after we took over from a previous agency. £32 is the approximate cost per lead under that agency.
Source: live account data, 2–15 September 2026. This is a separate window from the figures above.
Source: live account data, 14 August – 12 September 2026. Budget around £30 a day. Enquiries are calls and forms, not booked jobs.
Source: live account data, 17 August – 15 September 2026. Recent seven-day windows (6–13 September 2026) ran at 39–40% conversion and £15.85–£17.33 per conversion. Small accounts swing week to week, so treat the 30-day figures as the baseline.
Source: account data, before and after we took the account on, anonymised.
Source: client-reported. Booked work comes from the client's order book, not Google Ads, so we can't verify it from inside the account. The £80K contract was a one-off, not a monthly figure.
No vanity metrics, no "impressions" dressed up as results, no cherry-picked best week. If a month underperforms, it shows up in the report too.
Nobody can promise you the same numbers, and you should be wary of anyone who does. Every agency's area, budget and competition is different.
